Rev Speed sokokai at Suzuka Circuit (international course)

Today I went with my friend Hori San and his girlfriend Yuki to a track day at Suzuka Circuit. Hori is a regular to the Rev Speed days and took his WRX Sti along to try and get into the 2min35 second bracket. His car has a stock engine, apart from titanium exhaust system. Suspension wise he’s running some used Cusco coilovers and Potenza RE070 tyres all round. His class, B class was the intermediate group and as he has already driven the international course a few times he was feeling confident. On his first 20minute session he started at 2min59, then by the end of the session had dropped down to 2min51. In the following sessions he got his time down to 2min44 but the tyres had seen better days so he called it quits at 44 seconds. The last session of the day has ended up as a wet session so we headed home only to get caught in a massive thunder storm. The rainy season officially began last week, so instead of driving home we stopped at a Sushi restaurant to kill time and wait out the storm. Also luckily the ETC card system for driving on the toll-roads is half price from 6pm-8pm so we also saved a bit of cash.
